Quickly after starting using it, I was intemittently blocked when writting in Japanese. And then completely prevented from inputing anything further. I could only shut down Atext. And finally everything came back to normal.

Hello, I use this tool since a long time now and was very happy with it. But since I’ve upgraded my machine to the last Mac OS X version (El Capitan), it doesn’t work anymore. Please an update !!! Best regards

Could you please upgrade the app ! Something we shoudnt have to ask for, as EL is not a surprise.

Great app that used to work brilliantly and for so little of the price of the competition. Bu since El Capitan, the app does not work anymore and requires endless manipulations including downloading off the appstore (no thanks).

Gosto do app, até quando parou de funcionar com esta última atualização do El Captain. Espero que volte a funcionar em breve. I like the app, even when stopped working with this latest update of El Captain. I hope to return to work soon.

I was looking for a text expansion tool for quite some time and I was evaluating all the available options. All in all aText provides the best features plus the price is acceptable. So congrats to this amazing app, it saves me a lot of time :) For future versions I have 2 feature requests (that’s why there are only 4 stars ;): statistics about how many characters I have saved and the possibility to add shortcuts to snippets.

Slick app! Incredible time saver and I haven’t even set it up to optimize all of the power available.

Expected it to be amazing, turns out I cant even use it. Waste of 5 bucks. Bought the app and I cant drag it into system preferences. DO NOT BUY. Pathetic.

Love this app, it helps me out all the time. It works no problem for me. It is easy to figure out and will save you a lot of time.

Ive bought all the major text expansion apps, and this one is the one I use every day. Its got all the features I need, and its the most stable and reliable text expander on the market. The developer has been responsive and the low price makes aText a veritable bargain. Highly recommended. :)

I am a physician, and I type all my notes myself (faster than handwriting thanks to AText and I am able to read them later…. ;) → insert joke about doctor’s handwritting here… ) I could not function without this app, it accelerates my note taking and has such a natural flow to it that it almost feels magic. Thanks to M. Tran Ky Nam for building such a great product.

aText has a remarkably similar feature set to more expensive text expander apps, but with a good icon and a low price. I put off buying aText for a year while I considered the morality of this purchase, but in the end my frugality won out. This is a great app that I can heartily recommend.

This was a great app but no longer seems to work under the new Mac OS. :-(

Really like aText. One of the best features that a lot of other text expanders don’t have is the ability to put short cuts in folders then pre-pend each folder with a shortcut. Only catch is that current version (2.17) doesn’t work with El Capitan.

Love love love this app. As an instructor this app allows me to reply to ALL of the students in simple code I have fashioned with this app. Saves me amazing amounts of time. PLEASE make this compatible for the new OS X!!!!

It isn’t working in El Capitan. Please fix.

Warning: You can forget about getting any kind of support whatsoever from the author. I’ve sent three requests so far into the abyss that is their “support” email. Positively shameful.

Does not work under El Capitan. Suppose to be a work around, that does not work either, and the developer dows not respond to emails. Do NOT buy !
